I think that people should be happy. I think they should reach happiness on their own and not depend on others to make it happen. So, I do what makes me happy. I recommend this approach, it has kept me out of many bad relationships and other sticky situations. It also means some people think I'm an asshole. I don't worry about pleasing people so this doesn't bother me.
I value my privacy. I will not discuss my actual age, where I live, what schools I've attended, my marital status, what kind of animal(s) share(s) my living space, or what I do to pay the bills. If this seems unreasonable see above about me being an asshole and not caring what you think.
I think art is one of the most important things in this life. I don't think art should be explained, and I won't explain what I make or why I make it. If you want easy answers go watch TV, they'll be happy to tell you what to think, I won't.
Because of this I have evolved a set of rules that govern what I post. I will not discuss:
- why I make what I make
- where my ideas come from
- what my pieces mean to me
- if my pieces contain symbolic meaning
- what I hope viewers will get out of my pieces
- my production pipeline and/or the software I use
- why I don't give the pieces "real names"
This seems to really bother some people. My theory is that these people are insecure. When people like that post a piece (which seems to be seldom for the loudest of the complainers) they prattle on and on about it. Explaining it, making apologies for it, making sure you "get" it. Fuck that.
I want you to "get" whatever you get.
What I am willing to say is that all of my pieces are digital. I use a variety of 3D apps, photoshop and a tablet.
I'm glad we've spent these moments together and I hope that you enjoy the pieces I post. Or, if you don't like them, I hope they piss you off enough that you'll make an ass out of yourself expressing yourself.
